MEET OUR NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
We are excited to welcome Mr. Batnasan Chinbat as our new Business Development Manager. Batnasan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Stonehill College in Massachusetts, graduating in 2010. With a strong entrepreneurial mindset and extensive experience in both international and local business environments, he brings valuable expertise in strategic problem-solving and regional business development. Batnasan’s previous role at SFECO, a joint venture between a Shanghai-based SOE and a Mongolian private entity, has provided him with a broad understanding of regional initiatives and data analysis. His commitment to continuous growth, adaptability, and a strong work ethic makes him a great asset to our team.
EK COO PARTICIPATES IN EUROCHAM WORKING GROUP
MEETING
At the EuroCham FDI Working Group meeting on November 29, 2024, COO Tulga
Mendjargal discussed major urban development projects in Ulaanbaatar. Key
topics included the Ulaanbaatar Metro Project, which aims to divide the city
into 14 zones, and the upcoming cable car project, scheduled to begin in March
2025 with equipment from a French supplier. The meeting, led by Mr. Daniel
Mahoney and co-chaired by Ms. Ariuntuya R., provided valuable insights into
these significant infrastructure developments shaping Ulaanbaatar's future.
EK COO PARTICIPATES IN MONGOLIAN SUSTAINABLE FINANCE FORUM
2024
EK COO Tulga Mendjargal participated in the Mongolian Sustainable Finance
Forum 2024, held under the auspices of the President of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar
from November 27-29. The forum brought together key stakeholders, including
policymakers, businesses, and civil society, to discuss green development,
challenges, and future opportunities. Key topics included green transition in
agriculture, energy-efficient housing financing, and increasing green finance.
Tulga Mendjargal made contributions during the forum, participating in
discussions that focused on strengthening cooperation for sustainable
development. In addition to the plenary sessions, training sessions for banking
and finance professionals were held, covering impact investing, biodiversity
financing, and climate reporting.
The event was supported by the Office of the President, the Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association, Khan Bank, the United Nations in Mongolia, and other international partners.
EK COO TULGA PRESENTS ONLINE AT THE
GERMAN-MONGOLIAN ECONOMIC COMMITTEE IN BERLIN
On November 15, 2024, EK COO Tulga Mendjargal delivered an online
presentation at the 10th meeting of the German-Mongolian Economic Committee
(DMWA) in Berlin. The event, held under the framework of the "Agreement on
Cooperation in the Raw Materials, Industry, and Technology Sector" between
the German and Mongolian governments, focused on key sectors including Mining
& Raw Materials, Renewable Energy, Environmental Technology, and Logistics
& Transport.
During the plenary session, Tulga presented the Chuluut Fluorspar project, with partners Koch Solutions and SBN Schachtbau also participating in the discussions. This high-level meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Germany and Mongolia in these vital sectors.
