ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Our CEO, Dr. Oliver Schnorr held a crucial meeting with Mr.
Tuvdendorj Gantumur, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economic Development, to
address the challenges encountered by foreign investors in Mongolia.
The discussions centered on identifying and resolving the issues that hinder foreign investment in the region, aiming to foster a more conducive environment for international businesses operating in Mongolia.

OF THE ROAD AND TRANSPORTATION
Our CEO, Dr. Oliver Schnorr engaged in a productive meeting
with Mr. Khaltar Luvsan, Vice Minister of Road and Transportation, to address
maintenance solutions for Mongolia's road infrastructure.
The dialogue focused on identifying strategies to enhance
the upkeep of road networks, essential for the efficient movement of goods and
people across the country. Both parties emphasized the importance of
sustainable infrastructure management to support Mongolia's economic
development and connectivity.
This meeting underscores EK Corporation's commitment to
collaborating with government agencies such as the Ministry of Road and
Transportation to contribute to the advancement of Mongolia's transportation
infrastructure.
EK CEO ENGAGES IN DISCUSSION WITH GERMAN
BUNDESTAG MEMBERS
Our CEO, Dr. Oliver Schnorr participated in a meeting with
esteemed members of the German Bundestag on April 2, 2024. During the session,
Dr. Schnorr provided insights into the economic landscape of Mongolia, offering
valuable perspectives on its status and prospects.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the German Embassy for facilitating this event and express appreciation to all participants for their active engagement and insightful contributions. The exchange of ideas and perspectives serves to strengthen bilateral ties and foster mutual understanding between Mongolia and Germany.
EK ORGANIZED SUCCESSFUL TRAINING ON
PRETREATMENT OF INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER
EK is pleased to announce the successful organization of
the "Pretreatment of Industrial Wastewater Training" on April 24 and
25, 2024. The training session was designed for engineers and technicians from
state-owned entities, aiming to enhance their knowledge and skills in
wastewater treatment processes.
This initiative was undertaken in collaboration with the
Mongolian Millennium Challenge Fund (MMC), which is actively supporting the
implementation of the "Industrial Wastewater Pollution Reduction
Plan." This plan, approved by resolution, targets the reduction of
pollution loads entering the Central Treatment Plant of Ulaanbaatar City.
EK TEAM TRIP TO CHULUUT
The EK team recently embarked on a fulfilling site visit to
our processing plant and fluorspar mine located in Chuluut. The operational
commencement of the mine and processing plant in mid-March of this year marks a
significant milestone, and we are pleased to report on its successful progress.
During the visit, our team had the opportunity to witness firsthand the efficient functioning of both the mine and processing plant. We are delighted to contribute to Mongolia's export value-added chain policy through our operations in Chuluut.
SAINSHAND SALKHIN PARK HOLDS ANNUAL
SHAREHOLDER MEETING
Sainshand Salhin Park convened its annual shareholder
meeting on April 25th, 2024, EK CEO Dr. Oliver Schnorr chaired the meeting,
presiding over key discussions and decisions pertaining to the company's
strategic direction and performance.
The annual meeting provided an invaluable platform for
shareholders to review the company's achievements, challenges, and outlook. It
served as a forum for transparent communication and collaboration among
stakeholders, reinforcing the company's commitment to governance and
accountability.
EK PARTICIPATED SIPA WORKSHOP
We are happy to have participated in the SIPA workshop
focusing on the "Overall Assessment and Recommendations of the OECD SIPA
Report: Towards a Renewable Hydrogen Strategy in Mongolia." The workshop
provided an invaluable platform for stakeholders to assess and discuss the
findings and recommendations outlined in the OECD report.
We extend our appreciation to OECD, The Government of Germany, and the UNDP for organizing this insightful workshop and commend all participants from public and private and academic sectors for their active engagement and contributions. Together, we're paving the way towards a more sustainable and resilient energy future for Mongolia and the world.
EXCITING NEWS FROM MISHEEL KIDS’ FOUNDATION
Misheel Kids Foundation signed engineering contract for
MKF’s Oral Health Center project located in the Songinokhairkhan ger district
of Ulaanbaatar on April 30, 2024. The construction of our brand-new facility
will begin right after the festive Naadam celebrations, designed to create a
welcoming and safe environment for little patients, complete with the latest
dental technology.
We’re counting down the days until Oral Health Center’s grand opening on December 23, 2024! This clinic will not only enhance the dental health of Mongolian kids but also educate and inspire better oral hygiene practices across communities.
