EK has been codeveloping the 12-18 MW HPP project in Bayan-Ulgii province since April. The technical committee of the Energy Regulatory Commission has evaluated and decided to issue the special license to build a hydropower plant to the project company on Wednesday, June 5. The special license is one of the main approvals that are issued by the government agencies within the development of renewable energy projects in Mongolia. The project team is now focusing on approvals for the feed-in-tariff and Power Purchase Agreement.
